“I successfully applied for university upon my graduation from Education Queensland International with the help from my course and career advisor in school. Because of the excellent program run by EQI, I found that I was able to pass through the transition phase from high school to university faster than other students my age. EQI’s program prepared me well for life outside of high school in terms of both knowledge and cultural experience.”

Xiao was the recipient of one of the Queensland Education and Training International Awards for Excellence and Queensland-China Education and Training Awards for Excellence in 2010.

He was grateful to find his EQI school gave him access to a local community in which he could get involved and be part of what was a big family. Winson said “I enjoyed the time making new friends with local students in school and my homestay family gave me great help and support for my study and everyday living.”
