Katlyn Nguyen speaking at the inaugural Victorian International School Students Awards, after receiving the International School Student of the Year – Ambassador Award, presented by the Minister for Education, the Hon. Martin Dixon, MP.
Katlyn commented that, “Strathmore Secondary College had a vibrant and supportive learning environment, in which the study facilities are readily available, and the teacher-student relationship is strong and genuine.” Katyln achieved an ATAR score of 98.55.
Katlyn stated that, “the school had more to give than just academic advantages; it nurtured me, gave me a voice and helped me become a leader with lots of relevant life skills.”
Katlyn became a member of the Student Representative Council, allowing her to suggest solutions to benefit the student body. The following year Katlyn was elected as the International Student Captain, proving to be an articulate advocate for the International student body.
She is currently enrolled in a 3-year Bachelor of Nursing degree.
